Born in 184, Lalon Sanji died on 16 October 1890 at the age of 116.Lalon Sanji lived in the Chheuria Akhra house in Kushtia from 1823 till his death.Before that he was a monk. He used to walk around on the way. There is controversy over his birthplace.However, Sanjis language suggests that he was born in or around Kushtia.He was initiated into fakir by Siraj Sai.Starting from Kushtia, he had a lot of fans in the surrounding areas of Rajshahi, Pabna, Faridpur, Nadia, Murshidabad etc.He used to go to the houses of the devotees on horseback.Among his devotees are Bholai Shah Kudhu Shah, Moniruddin Shah, Sheetal Shah, Duddu Shah and others.Lalon Sangeet is basically Sadhan Sangeet. There is a hidden essence of physiology hidden in this song.Ordinary people think that these are just songs to sing in tune, but the fans respect them as Sanjis Pak Kalam.
